Kevin Mehar is a civil and criminal litigator who fights tirelessly to protect and advance the rights and interests of his clients.
Mr. Mehar appears at all levels of court in the province of Ontario for matters ranging from personal injury claims to the defence of serious criminal offences, and is always determined on achieving the best possible results for his clients.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Mehar earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Law and Society and Political Science from York University and its bilingual campus Glendon College. He excelled throughout his undergraduate studies, finishing at the top of his class in numerous courses including constitutional and international law.
Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Mr. Mehar attended Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, where he focused his studies in the school’s extensive criminal and civil law curriculum.
While attending Osgoode Law School, he worked as a criminal law caseworker for the Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP), volunteered his time to assist the duty counsel office of a busy Toronto courthouse, and participated in the school’s renowned Criminal Law Intensive Program.
After receiving his Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, Mr. Mehar joined a large Toronto criminal defence firm where he was involved in several high profile cases and defended the most serious offences under the Criminal Code.
Mr. Mehar is now a partner Impact Law, practicing in the firm’s successful personal injury and criminal law divisions.
Mr. Mehar is fluent in English and French and represents his clients in both official languages. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Criminal Lawyers Association, and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
